I haven’t heard many songs by The Living Tombstone, however their song My Ordinary Life is simply genius. It is the perfect blend of catchiness, simplicity, melody and tone- the major reason why the song is viral on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
The song describes the life of the singer and how his thought process differs from regular people. He is a creative person who likes to take things slow and work on his ideas while other people around him are chasing money and hustling to get ahead of their peers.
At first, the singer is struggling to make it big in the music scene and other people laugh at him and his intentions. They tell him that he is ignorant and is not aware of reality but what they don’t know is that he is the one who is actually wide awake because he knows things that they don’t.
Eventually he starts to earn good money from his music tracks and people are dumfounded by his success. It brings in hate from true haters and fake love by people who want to benefit from being in connect with him.
He develops a huge fanbase that overlooks his mistakes. People place him on a pedestal and he starts to feel like he is above them. He is lonely deep inside and enjoys the attention he gets from the crowd.
He develops an addiction to unhealthy substances and feels disconnected with reality. He feels lost in the sense that there is no sense of purpose for him. He has everything and there is not much for him to look forward to which causes him to fall in a depression.
