Eiffel 65 is a music group from Turin. They were an electronic dance music group formed in 1997 in the studios of Bliss Corporation consisting of Jeffrey Jey, Maurizio Lobina and Gabry Ponte. The group enjoyed commercial success while also winning several awards.
They were quite active from 1997 to 2005. However, Gabry Ponte who was the group’s DJ decided to leave the group to focus on his solo career.
Jey and Lubina decided to leave Bliss Corporation and decided to form their own production company. The duo decided to continue under a new name Bloom 06 as ‘Eiffel 65’ title was a property of Bliss Corporation.
While Jey and Lubina were with Bliss Corporation they were working on a 4th album called ‘Crash Test’ and already finished it. The album was renamed Crash Test 01 and released by Bloom 06 in June 2005.
Their best songs in my opinion are Blue and Move Your Body both of which are their biggest hits. The music sounds really simple and yet it brings about a feeling of nostalgia. Perhaps simply because the song used to be played often when I was a child and it simply reminds me of that time.
