So, Britney and Justin used to date each other back in 2000s. They broke up in 2002 and Justin released a track called “Cry Me A River” in which he was basically framing Britney of cheating in the relationship. Some fans feel that Justin also was not loyal in the relationship and flings on and off and that he was more wrong compared to Britney.

Its quite crazy to think that Britney made a song about Justin after about 14 years from their break up. It is not totally certain but it quite possibly be about Timberlake since the lyrics of the song Liar do refer to or are at least similar to Cry Me A River.
If it is about Timberlake and not about anyone else, Britney is basically calling out Justin Timberlake for lying probably to the whole world about what happened in the relationship. She might be talking about how Justin is still trying to reach out to her. Well, we don’t know if it is true or not but it could be a possibilty.
