So, Britney Spears is among the most successful pop artists of all time. Britney entered the entertainment industry as a very young girl of 11 years old. She was cast as an actor for ‘The Mickey Mouse Club’ at that time with other actors like Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling etc.
Her time as an actress with the show led her to a contract with the music record label ‘Jive’ in 1997. She went on to become a singer and her solo career took off with her releasing several hits. Britney climbed the ladder of success and was recognized all over the world. She even won a grammy for ‘Best Dance Recording’ in 2005 for her hit song ‘Toxic’.
However, apart from her success as a superstar she was also dealing with a lot of backlash from the media. Also, there were several things happening behind the scenes. Her relationship with Justin Timberlake caused a lot of drama when they broke up. She went on to have a marriage with her childhood friend Jason Alexander which lasted about 55 hours. She later married Kevin Federline and remained married to him from 2004-2007 and had 2 kids with him.
In 2007, Britney Spears was undergoing a custody battle with Kevin for the kids. On 16th Feb 2007, Britney went to the barbershop and got her head totally shaved and even got a few tattoos. She was mentally at the lowest pit at this time. Days after she had shaved her head, she along with her cousin were driving through a Mobil gas station in Tarzana in a silver Mercedes and some photographers were pursuing them. Her cousin Alli Sims told the paps to leave her alone, but Britney snapped. She left her car screaming ‘f*** you!’ and banged the umbrella on a Ford explorer which belonged to a photographer named Daniel Ramos. According to sources, she was having a bad day as she wanted to see her sons, but Kevin had not opened the gate for her.
This eventually led to her being held in a psychiatric hold in 2008 which was expected to be for a short time lasting for a few days at the most, but it went on for months and years to the point that it became permanent. Kevin gained full custody of her children and meanwhile her father James was made her conservator and given the control of her finances and freedom. The conservatorship lasted for years and Britney fought hard to become free from it.
People started realizing that what had been happening with Britney was unfair and that her civil rights were being violated because of her conservatorship. The fans wanted Britney Spears to become free and it led to a movement called #FreeBrtiney which gained massive attention. After a long struggle, in November 2021, the conservatorship was brought to an end by judge Penny.
Now, behind her meltdown in 2007, a lot of people suspect that Britney like several other industry stars underwent programming. She was attempting to break free from it just like other stars like Kanye West. Kanye West was put under psychiatric hold with the same institution like Britney in 2016.
The thing is that weird things happen in Hollywood. Some people go crazy, some people disappear with no apparent reason while some undergo other problems. There is always some sort of negative event/news that usually describes the state of Hollywood and the entertainment business. Some people have started to understand the system while others don’t have a clue that it exists.
