As far as I know, almost everyone if not everyone feels frustrated when things don’t go their way. Disappointments can be tough to deal with if you are not getting the things you want in life or maybe things are not happening the way you want them to happen. You have tried everything that you could in order to make things happen, but things just seem to fall apart all the time.
So, how does one deal with disappointments. It is hard to be patient in times when you have repeatedly failed to get the results you want. For example, you probably wanted good grades in school, but failed to obtain them. Or maybe you did not get the person you wanted to have by your side. Your relationships with people just seem to fail all the time. You could be facing similar problems in life and feeling stuck with them.
In times like these, it is best to just let go of things. Yeah, I know that it is important to take charge of things, but when you’ve done all you could it is important to let go. Let things be the way they are. You probably did all you could to get improve things, but it didn’t work. It is important to know that certain things in life are beyond your control.
At times, the universe may want you to go through experiences like these so that you could transform into a better individual. Or maybe your life wants you to head in a different direction. Things are always planned in a way that are the best for you.
As a kid, I was good in academics. I used to score very good marks till I was about primary standard…(lol I know it seems funny mentioning primary standard). After primary I still did well, but my performance was never as good as it was before. Although, I still manged above 85% which was a decent percent to have. This was up till 8th standard. During 9th and 10th my performance went further down to 80%. However, in 12th I scored around 85%.
When, I joined college I did well in the first sem but after that in the 2nd sem my grades really came crashing down like almost a 10% decrease in the percent that I scored in 1st sem and my performance decreased further in the 3rd semester and ever since then the performance sort of stagnated at that level. I don’t really blame myself for what happenend at that time because I was going through a lot and I did all I could to manage my grades.
But, what I learnt from this experience was maybe that grades don’t really matter in my case. The things that I really aspired to do in future didn’t really require me to have good grades. So, I did let go of academics at that point of time and I really don’t regret it. Maybe had I scored well at that time, I might have ended with a regular job that I would not have been very passionate about. So, you may not understand a few things in the present but in the future when you look back in the present moment, you will be glad that they happened.
With that being said remember what is really important to you and work towards it. The universe will let you know what really matters to you and what does not. Work towards the end result of how you would want things to be. Its important to understand how you want to live your life. See yourself in the future doing what you are passionate about, acting a certain way and feeling a certain way and you will eventually get what you want.
Every experience in life has something worth learning from. Make sure that you learn your lessons in the first go itself, because the life will make you go through it again and again until you correct your mistakes.
So, when things don’t go your way make yourself detached from outcomes so that it doesn’t hurt. Learn to let go of outcomes. Read the signs from the universe and do what is really important to you. Be grateful for what you have and don’t be disappointed for small things.
